「トドック」とは、生活共同組合コープさっぽろが運営する、北海道エリアで約141万人が利用する食材宅配サービスです。特に雪深いこの地域では、外出しづらい高齢者や子育て世代にとって、厳しい冬の生活に密着したサービスでもあります。

その配送センターの中に、地域の人々が自由に交流できるコミュニティースペース、「トドックステーション」が計画されました。

ここでは、子育て世代の人が気軽に遊びに来て、のびのび遊ぶ子供たちを見守りながら、カフェのようにお茶を飲むことができます。

「おもちゃ工場」では、子供が成長して遊ばなくなったおもちゃを、トドックの宅配員が回収・メンテンスし、新しい使い手を探します。また、「えほん図書館」には、元々の持ち主がメッセージを書いた絵本を、ソファでゆっくり読めるように並べてあります。

自由に参加できる、暮らしに役立つイベントやワークショップも定期的に催されるので、親同士の新しい交流も生まれます。

ここは、「みんなでつくる、みんなでつながる」地域のひろばです。

It’s a region’s open plaza for all and by all.

Todoc is the name for Co-op Sapporo’s food delivery service, widely utilized by as many as 1,410.000 co-op members in Hokkaido, Japan. This area is particularly severe in winter season with deep snow, so the service is highly appreciated especially by elderly and parenting generations.

“Todoc Station” was designed inside their delivery center as a community space for local people.

At this “station”, parents with small children are welcomed to drop by and watch their kids play while they communicate and chat over tea.

In Toy Factory they recycle the used toys by preparing & maintaining them, then finding new users.
In Picture Books Library are displayed used picture books with messages by original owners. People are welcomed to sit on a sofa and read them.

Free events and workshops are regularly organized for kids, as a consequence they function as meeting points for parents as well.
